Hardest Goodbye

Like leaving a warm bed on a chilly morning
I resist
As much as I know I should let go
I find excuses not to
I find refuge not to
I find comfort not to

Days will pass sooner than anticipated
And time will pick up where it left off

But when I slip away from embrace
exuding love and warmth in their purest form
Is it any wonder
That it’s the hardest goodbye?

Part of me is so ready to go back, but many parts of me feel as if I’ve just started to enjoy my time here… that going back is too much too soon.

We’ll see what keeping busy helps with in the coming week.
