Dear Papa G,
Please help us. Help us seek peace and wisdom. Help us control our anger, our lashing tongues, our impulses to shut down and shut out.
Please guide us. Guide us towards a common goal for all people. Guide us to solutions that will help and heal, not hurt and hate.
Please strengthen us. Strengthen us through others, whose kindness prevails over all petty thought, word, and deed. Strengthen those weak in body, heart, and mind.
And Lord, above all, in the midst of all the turmoil from the past two years, from tomorrow, and in years to come, help us remember to love each other as you love us, and would have us love ourselves.
In your name, we are all praying.
